Beauty tips for a Destination Wedding
1. Keep your skin hydrated:
Make sure to drink lots of water and keep your skin hydrated with a moisturiser throughout your destination wedding. You can also use a hydrating face mask to keep your skin nourished and looking great.
2. Protect your skin from the sun:
Wear sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher. Wear protective clothing such as wide-brimmed hats, long- sleeved shirts and long pants. Avoid being outdoors during the hottest part of the day and seek shade when outdoors. Reapply sunscreen every two hours and after swimming or sweating.
3. Get plenty of rest:
Try to get at least 8 hours of sleep the night before your wedding. Make sure to start winding down for the night an hour or two before you actually plan on going to bed. This will help you to relax and ensure you get a good night's rest. Additionally, if possible, take naps during the day leading up to your wedding to help make sure you are well-rested.
4. Get a facial:
Get a facial at least one week before your wedding to get your skin glowing and looking its best. Facials can also help to clear up any blemishes or acne that may be present on your skin. It's best to get a facial at least two weeks before your wedding so that any redness or breakouts that may occur can be gone in time for the big day.
5. Get a manicure and pedicure:
Get a manicure and pedicure the day before your wedding to ensure your nails look their best. Make sure to book a time with a professional manicurist and pedicurist to ensure the job is done right. Before the appointment, make sure to remove any existing nail polish and trim your nails to the desired length. During the appointment, the manicurist will clean and file your nails, followed by a massage and a coat of nail polish. The pedicure process is similar, but usually includes a foot soak, exfoliation, and a moisturising cream.
6. Take care of your hair:
Make sure to use a shampoo and conditioner that is suitable for the climate of your destination. Try to avoid using too many styling products, as they can damage the hair. Use a deep conditioning treatment once a week and let your hair air-dry as much as possible. Make sure to get regular trims
to keep split ends at bay.
7. Exfoliate your skin:
Use an exfoliating scrub or mask the night before your wedding to get rid of any dead skin cells. This will leave your skin feeling soft and smooth and ready to be pampered the next day. Be sure to use a gentle scrub or mask and follow up with a good moisturizer.
8. Try not to stress:
Stress can cause breakouts and can take away from your overall beauty. Try to relax and enjoy the moment.
